Are you looking to buy a used ultralight aircraft? There are some basic points to follow when buying a used ultralight aircraft. Don't just grab it because there's an ultralight sale. Point 1 - look at how long the manufacturer has been producing this particular type of ultralight airplane. If the ultralight has been flying for more than 5 years then any design problems that were encountered should have been corrected. If the ultralight is less than 5 years old the owner might be selling because he does not want to make the design changes required by the manufacturer. They might want to get rid of the older model ultralight and buy the newer model with all the upgrades already done. When an ultralight has been flying for many years it also stands to reason that it has been exposed to numerous flight conditions and handled by pilots from different backgrounds. If it had any dangerous design or ultralight piloting characteristics it would be news by now.
